How do I take advantage of the discounts available?
It's simple to participate in this program. Just call the HearUSA Hearing Care Network, toll-free at 1-800-333-3389 or visit the website.  There are four easy steps to using the network:

  1. When you call or visit the website, you will receive a provider directory for your area, a letter explaining the discount program and a Discount Summary Form.
  2. Choose a provider from the provider directory and make an appointment. Confirm with the audiologist that he or she is an NECP provider and identify yourself as a WEA Trust member with discounts through HearUSA.
  3. Take the Discount Summary Form with you to your appointment. The provider will complete the form and return it to HearUSA.
  4. Pay the provider directly at the discounted price.

What kind of hearing care professionals are on the HearUSA HCNetwork?
The HearUSA HCNetwork is made up of audiologists. Audiologists have a master's or doctoral degree in audiology and provide a variety of diagnostic and rehabilitative hearing care services, including the fitting of hearing aids. Each audiologist in our network is credentialed, meaning that he or she must be licensed or registered in the state where services are rendered, carry adequate professional liability insurance, maintain calibrated diagnostic equipment, etc.

Does my discount apply to all types of hearing aids?
Yes. You receive a discount on any hearing aids that are dispensed by the network provider. The hearing aids that are most appropriate for your particular hearing loss (i.e. size, style, circuitry, etc.) will be determined by you and the network provider. (Note: Cochlear Implants, FM Systems, and Assistive Listening Devices [ALDs] are outside the scope of this program.)

Can I go to any HearUSA network provider in the U.S.?
Yes. You are free to see any provider on the HearUSA HCNetwork as many times as you wish and receive your Hearing Care Program discounts.

Is this plan like traditional insurance?
No. This is not an insurance plan. It is a discount program. When you receive services from an HearUSA network provider, a discount is taken off the price of the hearing services and/or hearing aids and you pay the discounted price. There are no claim forms and no limit to the number of times you can use your Hearing Care Program.

Can I use the discounts with other insurance benefits?
No. This program cannot be used in conjunction with any other insurance program that covers hearing testing and/or hearing aids.

How much will I save on hearing aids?
You will save at least 10-20% off the network provider's usual and customary charge for various types and styles of hearing aids.

What if the provider I normally see is not listed on the network?
Please use the Contact Us portion of the website or call HearUSA at 1-800-333-3389 with your provider's name, practice name, address and phone number. If we are still recruiting audiologists in that area, we would be happy to contact your provider.
